Uganda's health minister declared the country Ebola-free on Tuesday following the East African nation's end of the latest outbreak of the viral haemorrhagic disease. It had infected 20 people and killed two of them in the country.
The last patient has been discharged from hospital in Uganda.
Ugandan authorities said Tuesday that the East African country is already “free” from Ebola after the last patient was discharged in mid-June, an important milestone while the virus strikes the neighbouring Democratic Republic of the Congo.
