B.C. NDP Leader Eby says not everybody shares his concerns about Trump
The NDP is emphasizing cost of living and health care as Eby says voters will judge which party can best support families.
The NDP election campaign in British Columbia has shifted focus from Trump's threats to prioritize affordability, with NDP Leader David Eby emphasizing that voters on Oct. 24 must decide which party best supports families.
When NDP Leader David Eby called the snap election on Sept. 22, he sought a "firebreak" against Trump's economic attacks and Trump-style politics threatening the province.
On Tuesday, Eby acknowledged not everyone shares his anxiety about Trump, stating, "Whether you believe and accept that Trump is making it much worse, it doesn't matter because you're still understanding that the cost of living is significant."
Despite differing views on the U.S. president, Eby maintained that Trump's actions continue to impact British Columbians, who prioritize affordable health care and cost of living.
With the provincial election on Oct. 24 approaching, Eby stressed that voters must determine which party can best support families during these challenging times.
