Wynonna Judd Opens up on 'Taking a Break' From Sister Ashley Judd
Wynonna says the sisters are not connected right now, and Ashley has not heard her first album in 10 years, which arrives Oct. 2.
On Wednesday, September 30, singer Wynonna Judd revealed in a People cover story that she and actress sister Ashley Judd are currently taking a break from each other.
Wynonna previously explained she practically raised Ashley as her own when their mother, late country singer Naomi Judd, worked; their bond was so close Ashley called her "sister mommy."
As she prepares to release The Hard Truth on Friday, October 2, Wynonna confirmed Ashley has not heard the album, her first record in 10 years.
Wynonna told People, "We're taking a break, which all families can relate to," adding that she's focused on her own path while Ashley does her thing.
Despite the current break, Wynonna expressed confidence that she and Ashley will "absolutely" make their way back together in the future.
Wynonna Judd, who together with her mother formed for years the country duo The Judds, has talked to the magazine ‘People’ about her distance from the performer. She does so on the occasion of the release of her last album, which claims she has not yet heard
