Animated 'Ted' clobbers Mark Wahlberg's character
- On Thursday, December 17, Peacock will premiere 'Ted: The Animated Series' with eight episodes, reuniting creator Seth MacFarlane with original film stars Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried, and Jessica Barth.
- Created by MacFarlane, Paul Corrigan, and Brad Walsh, the series picks up 12 years after the films, following Ted and John as neighbors balancing families and dead-end jobs.
- The cast adds Kyle Mooney as Apollo and Liz Richman as Ruth, while Rough Draft Studios provides animation for the raunchy, TV-MA-rated comedy.
- Showrunners Corrigan and Walsh lead production alongside executive producer MacFarlane, with additional episodes scheduled to stream in 2027.
- MacFarlane recently cast doubt on a third season, citing the show's 'really expensive' production costs for visual effects, with no current plans for a third installment.
