Ukraine has not yet submitted to the European Commission signed contracts for the purchase of interceptor missiles for Patriot. Because of this, the EU cannot make the corresponding payments from the loan funds totaling 90 billion euros.
The European Union cannot finance the purchase of Patriot missiles for Ukraine because it is waiting for signed contracts from Kiev. The disbursement of the support loan depends on the submission of the necessary documentation, the Commission has said.
The European Commission said that they will be able to start financing the purchase of interceptor missiles for Patriot systems immediately after receiving the signed contracts from the Ukrainian side.
The European Commission has not yet received signed contracts from the Ukrainian side for the purchase of interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems and therefore cannot make the corresponding payments from the loan funds totaling 90 billion euros.
