Thug pictured sticking his tongue out jailed for brutal strangle attack on woman

- On Tuesday, Charlie Stefano was sentenced to two years and 10 months in prison at Maidstone Crown Court after pleading guilty to intentional strangulation and causing actual bodily harm.
- During the February 13 attack in Chatham, Stefano grabbed the victim by the throat twice, dragged her across the floor, held her over a staircase, and snapped her phone in half.
- After the victim fled to a petrol station, police tracked down the 35-year-old, of Horse Bridge Road, Dagenham, and arrested him later that same day.
- The court also issued a six-year restraining order against Stefano, while two additional charges of criminal damage and coercive and controlling behavior were ordered to lie on file.
- Detective Sergeant Leighton Prior commended the victim's courage, stating, "I would like to commend her courage in supporting his prosecution and ensuring a man who is a clear danger to women is now behind bars.
