UN High Commissioner for Refugees has been monitoring the situation in the Spanish city of Ceuta and stresses the need to ensure the identification and registration of new arrivals.
During the crisis in Ceuta some 80,000 people entered irregularly with the Moroccan authorities looking the other way. But only about 8,000 are still there. And the real dimension of the crisis is currently 5,000 people: the sum of the minors (about 2,500) and the potential asylum seekers (2,500 more), according to estimates handled by the government.Continue reading
