Swedish 15-year-olds in total have never had such poor knowledge in mathematics, reading comprehension and science, the PISA measurement shows.One third lack basic knowledge in reading comprehension and mathematics. “This is very serious,” says Anna Castberg at Skolverket.
Sweden's recovery after the 2012 Pisa shock has been erased. Pisa director Andreas Schleicher describes the results as "disappointing" and points to poor reading comprehension as a fundamental problem.
