German students do worse in reading and arithmetic than ever before. There are no more excuses for the federal and state governments, because it works better abroad.

Germany once again achieved historical lows in the Pisa study – the young people did even worse than in 2001 with the "Pisa-Schock". Every third one fails due to basic math or reading tasks. Countries from the Asian region, on the other hand, are again ahead.
