Lightning sparks 4 new wildfires on northern Vancouver Island

There are four new wildfires on north Vancouver Island all with lightning as the suspected cause, according to BC Wildfire Service. On Aug. 18, a fire was discovered near Gerald Creek. It currently measures at 0.05 hectares and is listed as out of control.
