Krispy Kreme Is Teaming up with Pokémon to Launch a 6-Doughnut Collection for Its 30th Anniversary
The limited-edition lineup includes six character doughnuts and collectible cups as Krispy Kreme responds to fan demand for official Pokémon treats.
On Monday, August 18, Krispy Kreme launches a Pokémon doughnut collection across the U.S., featuring six custom designs including Gen 1 starters and a Poké Ball to celebrate the franchise's 30-year anniversary.
The collaboration marks Pokémon's 30-year anniversary, addressing American fans who previously experienced 'FOMO' waiting for exclusive character-themed lineups released in Australia and South Korea.
Chief Brand and Product Officer Alison Holder said, "This collection is made to be caught and shared," while the launch includes five collectible cups filled with 10 Original Glazed Gold Dots.
On Saturday, August 22, customers wearing Pokémon merchandise to participating shops or drive-thrus can receive one free Original Glazed Doughnut, capped at one per person.
Fans can order doughnuts à la carte, by the dozen, or in six-packs at select grocery retailers, with pre-orders beginning Wednesday, August 13 via krispykreme.com.
