CapMetro’s bike share service is now back up and running after a fire damaged more than $150,000 worth of its equipment back in May.

CapMetro Bikeshare returns to service after June service suspension

The Capital Metro Bikeshare service resumed today with a limited fleet of bikes after a May warehouse fire halted service. The bikes will be placed in stations around UT’s campus and other popular areas.  The service return will happen in multiple phases after it was suspended in June, according to CapMetro’s website, with one-third of the fleet available by Aug. 18.
