CAE: Fiscal Q1 Earnings Snapshot
CAE’s civil aviation and defence sales rose, while adjusted earnings of 19 cents a share topped Wall Street’s 17-cent estimate, analysts said.
- On Wednesday, Saint-Laurent, Quebec-based CAE Inc. reported fiscal first-quarter revenue of $1.17 billion, rising 6.8 percent year-over-year from $1.10 billion.

- Revenue in the civil aviation segment rose to $641.6 million from $607.7 million, while defence revenue reached $531.8 million, up from $490.9 million.
- The company reported net income of $22.4 million for the quarter, while adjusted backlog stood at $19.2 billion, down from $19.5 billion a year earlier.
- Despite quarterly gains, CAE shares hit $27.68 on Wednesday, reflecting a decline of slightly more than 6% over 12 months and 9% since year-start.
