An 18-year-old Buffalo man was sentenced to six months in jail followed by five years of probation for bringing a gun to school and a separate weapon possession incident, Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announced.Youth Part Judge Brenda Freedman granted youthful offender status in the case, despite arguments from prosecutors against the designation. The teen’s name will not be released as a result.
