On Thursday this week will be known the winning cities of the annual European Green Capital and Green Leaf Awards that the European Union grants to cities that achieve greater environmental advances, reliably measurable, while improving the quality of life of their residents.
The European Commission awards the European Green Capital and Green Leaf awards every year, recognising cities that have made measurable environmental progress. The finalists were assessed in seven areas, including climate resilience, waste management and the speed with which they reduce their emissions.
