The European Commission has allocated an additional €130 million to strengthen the capacities of EU Member States in the field of using and combating drones. The total amount of funding for surveillance and anti-drone technologies within the EU internal security funds exceeded €500 million.

The European Commission announced today that it will provide EUR 130 million more for the Member States of the European Union (EU) to strengthen surveillance and combat drones, at a time of increasing hybrid threats against the EU bloc.
The European Commission has announced an additional €130 million in funding to strengthen member states' border surveillance and drone and anti-drone capabilities. This funding will complement the €250 million allocation in December 2025 and the €169 million already allocated this year for Frontex and member states.
