Latur and Dharashiv districts have been hit by a severe drought-like situation due to 50% rainfall. Crops have been damaged and there is a serious problem of drinking water and fodder for animals. The government has assured to stand by the farmers and has promised to effectively implement loan waivers along with financial assistance, water and fodder management.
