CM Devendra Fadnavis Visits Drought-Affected Areas: After crops were destroyed by deficient rainfall in Maharashtra, CM Devendra Fadnavis began his tour of drought-affected areas in Latur. He will tour the entire state starting today.
Maharashtra Drought Devendra Fadnavis-Eknath Shinde: Rains lashed many districts of Vidarbha including Marathwada. The standing crops in the fields withered. Due to the drought situation in the state, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will visit the farmers' dams today and inspect them. There is a strong demand for the government to declare a drought and provide assistance immediately.
