Following heavy rains in the upper reaches of Mandla and Dindori, Jabalpur's Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi Sagar (Bargi Dam) rapidly filled up. As the water level rose, nine of the dam's 21 gates were opened at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Five gates were opened by one meter and four by half a meter. Currently, 1,031 cumec of water is being released from the dam, while the inflow is 1,606 cumec. The dam's water capacity is 84.
