Virginia Democrat says DOJ wiretapped phone calls with state Senate leader
Subramanyam says the wiretap was part of a corruption probe and covered calls from March 6 to April 5, according to court documents.

- Describing the wiretaps as "extremely suspicious," Subramanyam noted they coincided with Virginia's redistricting referendum campaign and House Oversight Committee hearings on former Attorney General Pam Bondi.
- Calling the DOJ "his own personal law firm," Subramanyam accused President Donald Trump of targeting political enemies and vowed to continue investigations into the administration.
- No charges have been filed against Lucas, and it remains unclear whether the wiretaps were related to the earlier May raid of her offices.
