Virgin Media customers warned to take action as TV and film service closes in 4 weeks
Customers who bought films or box sets must move them to Rakuten TV to keep access, while rentals remain available.
On November 1, the Virgin Media Store will close, forcing customers who purchased films or TV box sets to transfer their content to a Rakuten account to maintain access.
Virgin Media urges affected users to complete the transfer "as soon as you can," warning that failing to switch before the November deadline will result in losing all purchased content.
To migrate media, customers must sign in to the Virgin Media Store and select the "transfer to Rakuten" option, which automatically creates a new account if needed.
Virgin Media has reassured customers that rentals will not change, as the closure applies exclusively to purchased films and television box sets, not rental services.
Once the transfer process is finished, users will be able to watch their library using the Rakuten app, which is accessible directly through existing Virgin Media equipment.
