US pressure targeting Iranian oil has entered a new phase. With approximately 20 Iranian-linked tankers waiting off the coasts of Sri Lanka and Malaysia, Washington has intensified pressure on regional countries to withhold supplies, including fuel, food, and water, from the vessels.
According to the newspaper Wall Street Journal, dozens of Iranian oil tankers are stuck in the waters of Asian countries. The newspaper indicated that American pressures prevented Iranian oil tankers from supplying supplies off the shores of Sri Lanka.
