Breaking: TAs Vote in Favour of Strike

The union says it is ready to return to bargaining after members representing more than 3,500 academic workers backed job action.

Following a series of escalations, 95.4 per cent of CUPE 2278 members who voted said they are in favour of job action. Turnout has not been disclosed, CUPE 2278's President Jessica Wolf said "member engagement" broke participation records. UBC says they are preparing "resources" to support sustained learning were a strike to occur.
