Tubers rescued on Courtenay's Puntledge River

Bystanders helped bring the pair to firefighters as crews tracked them downstream and warned that low river conditions and alcohol raised the risk.

Two women were rescued on August 18 after first responders were called to ‘swimmers in distress’ along Courtenay’s Puntledge River.
