Tropical Storm Edouard makes landfall on Texas-Louisiana coast
The storm is expected to bring up to 12 inches of rain and trigger flash flooding in low-lying and urban areas, forecasters said.

- Entergy Texas activated its emergency operations center on Monday and strategically positioned more than 1,500 resources across the region ahead of the storm's arrival to prepare for potential infrastructure damage.
- Outages hit Jefferson County hardest, with about 32,000 customers losing electricity, while nearly 5,000 outages were reported in Port Arthur as the system drenched the area.
- Frank Shannon, vice president of reliability for Entergy Texas, said, "Our crews are doing everything they can to safely restore service to our customers" despite challenging conditions from flooding and wind.
- The system weakened into a tropical depression with sustained winds of 35 mph, but forecasters warn that inland flooding remains a significant concern along the system's path through the week.
