The Union of Turkish Architects and Engineers (TMMOB) has filed a lawsuit in the Council of State against the privatization of several highways, including the Bosphorus and Fatih Sultan Mehmet bridges, for a period of 30 years.
The Union of Turkish Architects and Engineers (TMMOB) has filed a lawsuit with the Council of State (Danıştay) requesting a stay of execution and annulment of the Presidential Decree regarding the privatization of the Bosphorus and Fatih Sultan Mehmet bridges and many highways for 30 years, on the grounds that it is contrary to public interest, the Constitution, and the right to transportation.
