Three injured during 'large fight' in city centre
Police said two men in their 20s were arrested after a fight involving a machete left one man with potentially serious injuries.
On Monday, armed officers arrived at Calenick Street in Truro after a "large fight" left three people injured, with Cornwall Police cordoning off the area.
Responding to reports of "bladed articles," armed officers attended the scene alongside Ambulance crews, with witnesses describing a heavy police presence near Burger King.
Two men in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, while one man suffered "a potentially serious injury" and two others sustained minor injuries.
Police stated, "Those involved are believed to be known to each other," assuring the public there is no wider threat as the city centre remained cordoned off.
Investigating officers asked anyone with information or footage to contact them as the investigation remains ongoing and Police continue processing evidence from the Truro scene.
