At the beginning of August 2026, Google's AI Overviews module assured its users that Flock's plate reading cameras contained between 1 and 5 grams of gold and up to 10 kilos of copper, TechSpot reports. However, these figures were impossible, since the entire camera weighs just 1.4 kilos. AI's hallucinations, these invented responses but presented with aplomb, had drawn here from jokes by activists opposed to police surveillance.
