The Czech authorities issued a food alert after laboratory tests confirmed the presence of Salmonella in two batches of chickens from Romania and sold in Lidl stores. The products are no longer available at the shelf, but there is a possibility that some people would have bought them and kept them in the freezer. The authorities warn that these products should not be consumed because freezing does not eliminate the bacteria.
