The troubled football project beside the Pro Football Hall of Fame is trying again

More than a decade after leaders pitched Hall of Fame Village as a year-round sports and entertainment destination that could reshape Canton’s economy, the project remains unfinished, burdened by financial strain, delays and shifting plans. The 100-acre development sits next to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, which opened in Canton in 1963 and remains tied to the city’s place in NFL history.
