Naum Faiq A. Palak—teacher, poet, journalist, and founder of the Assyrian Awakening Movement—is a foundational figure in modern Assyrian nationalism. Born in Diyarbakir in 1868, he passed away in New Jersey in 1930, leaving behind a legacy that continues to shape the Assyrian identity to this day.
