Suns Send-Off Club Stalwart with Win over Saints
Touk Miller and Matt Rowell led Gold Coast with 40 and 28 disposals as the Suns finished their season with a ninth win.
On Thursday, Gold Coast defeated St Kilda by 23 points, providing a winning farewell for retiring club stalwart Nick Holman in his 145th and final game at Marvel Stadium.
Led by captain Noah Anderson, Touk Miller, and Brownlow medallist Matt Rowell, the Suns surged to a 103 to 80 victory, establishing a game-high 33-point lead late in the second quarter.
Despite the loss, St Kilda milestone players Bradley Hill and Dougal Howard celebrated their 300th and 100th games respectively for the Saints in a bittersweet finale.
Ben King and Leo Lombard each kicked three goals, while the Suns dominated centre clearances 15 to 4, controlling the contest throughout.
With the 2026 season concluded, both teams enter the off-season facing important decisions, particularly Gold Coast regarding potential player exits, including speculation surrounding King ahead of 2027 under coach Damien Hardwick.
