2027 Subaru BRZ and WRX Both Get Special Birthday Editions for Their Time in America
The limited-run models honor 25 years of WRX sales and 15 years of BRZ sales in the U.S. with heritage styling and performance upgrades.
- On Monday, September 28, 2026, Subaru of America unveiled limited-production anniversary editions of its 2027 Subaru WRX GD25 and 2027 Subaru BRZ ZC15 at Boxerfest 2026 in York, Pennsylvania.
- The commemorative nameplates honor original chassis codes from when these models arrived in the United States 25 and 15 years ago; the GD25 pays tribute to the original 'GD' platform, while the ZC15 honors the first-generation 'ZC' chassis.
- Performance upgrades for the WRX GD25 include a dry carbon fiber swan-neck rear wing from Subaru Tecnica International, identical to the component on Travis Pastrana's WRX ARA25L rally car, paired with a 271-horsepower turbocharged 2.4-liter engine.
- Subaru will build 350 examples of the WRX and 300 of the BRZ, with the BRZ ZC15 featuring Ceramic White paint, matte bronze wheels, and Bordeaux Red interior inserts.
