Steelers rule out Joey Porter Jr.; Jalen Ramsey hopes to play vs. Browns
On Wednesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers ruled out cornerback Joey Porter Jr. for Thursday's game against the Cleveland Browns, ending hopes for his season debut.
Although Porter participated fully in practice Monday and Tuesday, he was limited on Wednesday after reporting a back injury that had lingered since training camp.
Running back Rico Dowdle will miss the contest with a toe injury, while cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey and Brandin Echols remain questionable due to a broken wrist and concussion respectively.
Ramsey told reporters, "I'm going to try to , but I've got to be able to protect it," despite the wrist injury being real and affecting his availability.
These designations leave the Steelers thin at cornerback as they prepare for Thursday's Week 4 matchup against the Browns without Porter's availability.
