Three days before the start of a national strike movement in the profession, the president of the Fédération nationale des sapeurs-pômeurs puts pressure on the government, which is due to present on Tuesday a bill to modernize civil security. Jean-Paul Bosland says it is now a matter of taking "real measures", by redefining the field of missions of firefighters.
From 8 September to 20 October, eight of the nine organisations representing firefighters called for a strike in order to demand more resources, recruitment and modernization of civil security.
