Six teenage boys, aged 13 to 17, arrested after police officer 'hit by stolen car'
Six boys aged 13 to 17 are in custody after the suspected stolen vehicle collided with a stationary car and injured a Durham Constabulary officer.
Gwent Police arrested two 16-year-old boys in Pengam on Monday, August 10, after police dog Lando tracked the suspects from an abandoned stolen vehicle to a nearby house.
Reports of a stolen vehicle on Commercial Street prompted the police response, with officers spotting the car on CCTV traveling toward the A469 from Gilfach Street.
Officers including PC James and police dog Lando were dispatched to the area and tracked the suspects through woodland and housing estates after discovering the vehicle unattended.
Arrested on suspicion of burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, and driving while unfit through drugs, the 16-year-old boys have since been released on conditional bail.
Gwent Police continue enquiries as the investigation remains at an early stage, with authorities urging the public to contact them via 101 with reference 26000422478.
