Five Dead After Consuming Spurious Liquor in MP’s Sagar, over 12 Hospitalised

- Victims consumed the liquor in two villages of Banda tehsil, located 30 km from the district headquarters. According to preliminary information, the deceased were residents of Baraj village.
- Superintendent of Police Anurag Sujania reached the spot with a police team following the incident. Sagar Collector Pratibha Pal stated that health screening has begun in the two affected villages.
- Preliminary autopsy reports have not yet been received, officials said. Authorities are awaiting further details regarding the cause of deaths and the liquor consumed by victims.
- Many others were hospitalized after consuming the substance, officials confirmed. Local officials continue monitoring the situation in Banda as the investigation into the tragedy remains ongoing.
