TLC's T-Boz Hospitalized After Sickle Cell Crisis, Manager Confirms

- On Thursday, TLC representatives confirmed that Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins was hospitalized following an acute sickle cell crisis. The 56-year-old has missed recent dates on the group's "It's Iconic Tour."
- According to the Cleveland Clinic, sickle cell crisis is a "common, painful" complication where sickled cells block blood vessels and prevent oxygen-rich blood from reaching tissues and organs. This often requires hospitalization.
- Bandmate Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas performed solo, telling fans, "I want to ask each and every one of you to help me hold her down tonight." The group decided to continue the tour with guest support.
- Watkins is currently "recovering and regaining her strength," according to a group spokesperson. Jodeci singer Dalvin DeGrate asked fans to pray for a "speedy recovery" on Tuesday, September 1.
- The "It's Iconic Tour" continues through October 11, though no return date for Watkins has been announced. She intends to rejoin once medically cleared and fully recovered.
