Seahawks and 2-Time Pro Bowl Cornerback Trevon Diggs Are Working on a Deal, AP Source Says
The veteran cornerback played only 31 games over the last three seasons after injuries and concussion issues, according to reports.
On Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026, the Seattle Seahawks signed two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Trevon Diggs to a one-year contract, addressing secondary depth after Riq Woolen's departure.
Diggs joins Seattle following a difficult 2025 season with the Dallas Cowboys, where he appeared in only eight games before the team released him in December.
The veteran cornerback reunites with known coaches: defensive backs coach Karl Scott worked with Diggs at Alabama, while defensive coordinator Aden Durde coached on the Cowboys' staff during his tenure.
This signing indicates the Seahawks do not expect Terrion Arnold on the field soon, as Arnold faces eight felony charges and will be placed on the Commissioner's Exempt List.
Diggs joins a secondary led by three-time Pro Bowler Devon Witherspoon and Josh Jobe, with Seattle utilizing $20.6 million in 2026 cap space to secure the veteran.
