Saudi Arabia welcomes IAEA resolution on Syria
Saudi Arabia welcomed the adoption of the resolution concerning Syria by the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the subsequent conclusion of the Board's consideration of the item on the implementation of the safeguards agreement in Syria.
The Permanent Representative of the United Kingdom to the United Nations, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) in Vienna, Sonya Fari, confirmed that Syria had taken important steps to address the legacy of the obsolete regime and to support the Agency ' s efforts to resolve outstanding nuclear safeguards issues 15 years ago.
