Saudi Arabia wants a car industry, launches Ceer with two EVs
The Saudi-backed automaker says the first two models will start sales in 2027 and anchor a seven-vehicle lineup built with global partners.
- Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman launched EXOBOT on Monday, the flagship electric sedan and SUV from CEER, Saudi Arabia's first homegrown automotive brand.
- The Public Investment Fund launched CEER in 2022 to develop the national industrial ecosystem, with vehicles produced at the CEER Manufacturing Complex, the largest automotive production facility in the Middle East.
- Designed and engineered in Saudi Arabia, the EXOBOT sedan and SUV are the first of seven models CEER intends to launch over the next five years, with designs inspired by the Kingdom's landscape.
- By 2034, CEER is projected to contribute more than $8 billion to Saudi Arabia's GDP and over $21 billion to the Kingdom's trade balance while creating quality jobs.
- The Crown Prince said the launch represents a step forward in Saudi Arabia's progression to build an industrial ecosystem and position the Kingdom as a leading regional and global automotive hub.
