DDoS attacks involve overloading a system with internet traffic, causing it to be unable to function normally.
According to the Electoral Commission, these attacks all show "signs of Ukrainian interference".
Authorities clarified that they were DDoS-type attacks aimed at overloading a system with waves of incessant requests.
Russia's Election Commission announced today that it has registered more than a thousand cyberattacks aimed at disrupting the country's parliamentary elections since Friday. "More than a thousand DDoS attacks have been registered against Russian infrastructure involved in the election process," the head of the Commission said.
