Russian Strikes in Ukraine Kill at Least Two People, Injure Several Others
The latest attacks followed a day of bombings that killed at least 20 people and wounded 130, including 23 children, officials said.
On Saturday, Russian strikes killed at least two people across Ukraine, including a railway foreman in Odesa and one person in Kyiv's Darnytskyi district, according to local authorities.
Friday's bombings killed at least 20 people, including 16 in a daytime drone attack on a shopping center in Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Russian forces launched 217 drones and missiles overnight, while rescue services reported that Friday's attack wounded 130 people, with 23 remaining in "serious condition."
In the southern city of Zaporizhzhia, a drone strike in Kushuhum killed a man and wounded four, while rescue operations continue for nine missing people, including two children.
The United Nations reported that the civilian death toll has reached its highest level this year, as Ukraine has escalated retaliatory strikes on Russia to pressure Moscow to negotiate an end to the conflict.
