Ross Stores Announces Quarterly Dividend
On Thursday, Dublin-based Ross Stores raised its profit forecasts after reporting better-than-expected second-quarter results, with adjusted earnings of $2.06 per share beating analyst estimates.
Ross continues to attract value-conscious shoppers as inflation remains elevated, with consumers trading down from specialty apparel chains to manage discretionary spending.
Second-Quarter revenue rose about 13% to $6.26 billion, surpassing the $6.18 billion analyst estimate, while the retailer received about $253 million in tariff refunds.
CEO Jim Conroy called the momentum "durable," raising annual earnings guidance to $8.61 to $8.77 per share from the prior $7.50 to $7.74 outlook.
Rival TJX reported a slowdown at TJ Maxx and Marshalls on Wednesday, while Ross shares rose about 7% in extended trading following the strong results.
