Qatar’s Wealth Fund and JP Morgan Asset Management to Launch $20 Billion Partnership
The deal gives JPMAM a $15 billion equities mandate and a $5 billion private financing program for U.S. middle-market firms.
On Monday, the Qatar Investment Authority and J.P. Morgan Asset Management announced a $20 billion strategic partnership spanning public and private markets in equities and credit.
Under the preliminary agreement, QIA will receive a $15 billion mandate for customized global equity portfolios, while a $5 billion private markets initiative provides senior financing to middle-market companies across the United States.
QIA CEO Mohammed Saif Al-Sowaidi said the collaboration "will play an important role in unlocking new opportunities for both firms to generate long-term value." The partnership draws on J.P. Morgan's global investment capabilities.
