GRIDCo announces 15-hour power interruption in parts of Greater Accra

The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has announced a 15-hour power interruption in parts of the Greater Accra Region on Sunday, August 23, to facilitate the replacement of a damaged transmission tower at Ashaiman .

The Electricity Company of Ghana will conduct a planned maintenance exercise, causing an eight-hour power outage on August 23, 2026, across 38 communities in Accra.
