Police Urge Caution After Finding Pills Scattered in Second Orléans Park
Police are testing the pills and warning residents to avoid touching suspicious substances in public spaces.
The Ottawa Police Service seized more than 100 pills found scattered across two east end parks on Saturday and Sunday in the Chapel Hill South neighbourhood.
Officers discovered pills scattered near trees, bushes, and grass at Blue Willow Park on Saturday morning, with additional pills found concealed inside acorns at nearby Silverbirch Park on Sunday.
Analysis is underway to determine the pill composition, though police have not yet identified the substances; responding officers continue searching the area for additional evidence.
Police advise residents not to touch suspicious substances found in public spaces and urge supervision of children and pets in the area.
Officers continue to search the surrounding areas as the investigation remains active to determine the source and identity of the pills.
The police are asking the public to give way to caution, after they have found more than a hundred suspicious pills at Blue Willow and Silverbirch parks in the corner of Orleans.
