- In the widely circulated video, Frank claimed Nigeria Democratic Congress candidate Peter Obi would not win the 2027 election and asserted that an Igbo person could not become the Nigerian President.
- The Command stated that Frank's comments were made in his personal capacity and do not represent the Nigeria Police Force, as Commissioner Tijani Fatai affirmed personnel must uphold Force dignity and integrity.
- Previous incidents of alleged misconduct prompted similar investigations, including a July case on the Lagos-Benin Expressway where officers faced disciplinary proceedings for derogatory remarks.
- Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu clarified that citizens are not prohibited from recording officers performing duties in public, though he cautioned against misuse of such footage.
