The presidents of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, and of Paraguay, Santiago Peña, hold an official meeting in Caracas on Saturday in what constitutes the first approach towards the normalization of bilateral relations, broken since the beginning of last year.
Venezuela broke relations with Paraguay in January 2025 after Peña recognized opposition Edmundo González as the winner of presidential elections 2024.
The high-level rapprochement takes place after more than 20 months of breaking bilateral relations between the two nations.
