The area around the Opatov metro station is undergoing a major transformation. Prague plans to demolish the bridge over the station, which is in poor condition and on which Chilská Street runs, and build a new one. In the future, a tram line connecting Opatov with Spořilov should run through it. Construction could start in 2029 and end in 2031. And it will probably also affect the operation of the metro station itself.
